Excellent discussion as always! Here are two things for our hosts to ponder: 1. Kaitlyn and Skye are reluctant to accept the results of the survey for fear of confirmation bias. That humility is laudable, but needs nuance. You can question the results of a (social) scientific investigation on methodological grounds but can't dismiss them out of fear of your bias. If you are afraid your bias is impacting your reading of the data, think carefully about the data--but don't dismiss a study unless it is poorly done or not reproducible. That is as flawed as accepting a study unquestioningly because it confirms one's views. The data neither know nor care what we think, and shouldn't be made to bend to…
