People ask the mosquito question a lot... Male mosquitoes drink nectar or plant juice, females only drink blood when producing eggs, and there are some species that don't drink blood at all. Mosquitoes can act as pollinators too. We don't need to imagine a world where mosquitoes could be our friends; we already have hints of what it will be like!
